The only draw back is that every single thing you do in the storyline game is Sudoku.

I'm a big sudoku fan, so I was really excited for this game. However, that was dampened by the fact that the UI was just terrible. In addition to the handwriting recognition being off, I found that I couldn't even place numbers on puzzle squares - a pretty standard feature in other DS sudoku games. In addition, buttons and entries felt a little substandard, just enough to bother me as I played. While the game is fun to get involved with and I enjoy the storyline, and the game is probably good for brushing up on the speed of sudoku skills, for actually sitting down and solving a hard puzzle, I prefer something like Brain Age or the like.
